It's December already! As I mentioned in my gift guide a few days ago, OPI has a new collection out for Christmas, which includes a new gold leaf top coat, like The Man With the Golden Gun from last Christmas's Bond collection. Here's Pure 18K White Gold and Silver Top Coat, over Zoya Monica.
It's funny that it's called "Pure", because that's exactly what coloured gold isn't - pure gold is 24K and yellow in colour (like in The Man With the Golden Gun), and is only made of gold atoms. White gold is mixed with other metals (such as nickel) to make a paler alloy.
I have to say I prefer the yellow gold version, but this is very pretty too. The base of the polish is light yellow, which is a bit irritating for layering over light colours, but this looks far better over dark colours anyway! It comes in a lovely quilted-look box, which would make a great gift for your local nail polish addict. In Australia, it retails for $39.95 and is available now.
