Powder Perfect Home Alone Christmas collection - swatches and review

Here's another Australian indie brand I've just tried - Powder Perfect. Excitingly, not only do they have polish, but Powder Perfect also sell handmade lipstick and cuticle balm.

Hands down my favourite in the Home Alone Christmas collection is Decorate a Palm Tree.

This is a grassy green glitter-packed shade with a tiny amount of orange and holo glitter mixed in. As you probably know, I'm not that into bling nails but this is a major exception:

I LOVE IT.

It's blindingly shiny but still has depth from the jelly base, and the flashes of contrasting colours makes it even better. Three coats gives great coverage. It reminds me of the classic glitter-packed shades that everyone drools over - Pretty Serious BSOD, China Glaze Ruby Slippers and so on, but instead of micro glitter this is chunkier, which makes it even more stunning. Guh.

Season of Perpetual Hope is a pretty white jelly with large pinkish red hex glitter and glints of gold and silver. It's a nice seasonal polish that wouldn't look out of place during the rest of the year.

Don't Flash Those Babies Around is a red shimmer. The shimmer isn't too in-your-face - it's a lovely classic shade.

Made My Family Disappear is a bluish green shimmer topper. It adds an ethereal glow to any polish - I've layered it over to make a Christmassy red and green combo.

The formulas of all the polishes were great - I needed 2 smooth coats for all the polishes, except Decorate a Palm Tree which required 3.

Jacinta also send me a tin of chocolate-scented organic Cute-icle Balm to try. It's a buttery smooth formula that glides onto the cuticles and smells like melted chocolate. Love!
