I love special effects in polish, and I recently had the opportunity to try out Ylin Mood Changing Polish from Born Pretty Store.
This
polish changes from yellow (warm) to green (cold) - it's summer here at
the moment (albeit a cool summer), so the colour change wasn't super
obvious. It's opaque in 2 coats, but I used 3. It's a tad streaky and chalky, but it evens out easily.
The colour change is a lot more responsive to temperature than the BYS ones I've tried in the past - it's almost instantaneous! I love the green, but the yellow doesn't quite suit my skin tone. Next time, I might try the blue/purple version instead.

DeleteThis would be a great polish for Australia Day manicures! I can just imagine it flickering back and forth between the BBQ and the cold drinks. Have you tried any of the colour-changing polishes with designs over the top? I think they'd look pretty sweet with some simple stamped patterns on top.
ReplyDeleteStamping over them is a great idea! I might try it when it's cooler though, when it's summer I hardly get to see the cool colour unless I'm drinking something icy.
