Artsy Wednesday: Movember Moustache Nails

This week for Artsy Wednesday we're celebrating the end of Movember with some moustache inspired nails! Here are mine, simple freehand moustaches over a bright summery gradient:

I used the Bio Sculpture polishes I swatched here to make the gradient. I'm absolutely loving the colours for summer! I've been using dishwashing sponges for the gradients - I've found that they pick up polish a lot better than makeup sponges, and the holes give a really interesting effect. The moustaches are ulta3 Chocolate Cake, which has gone really gloopy. It kind of helped with the moustache design though! I was really happy with how these turned out.

Did you do anything special for Movember?

Can't say that I've done anything for Movember. These things always creep up on me because I'm so busy.

  14. I also have used cut up kitchen sponges for gradient sponging vs. the more dense makeup sponges - I like the airy holes in them...I live where we finally are getting the start of out fall/winter so my bright shades are going to take a little rest now...we had the longest summer ever and never hit any real fall.

  15. Ingenious!! The Bio Sculpture polishes are so pretty but the moustache made it real. I would wear it any season.
