7 Days of Eyeshadow - Part 2

I've been mucking about with makeup/facepaint, and here are a couple of the more outlandish eyeshadow looks I tried. Again, please ignore the lashes, I got overexcited and forgot the mascara:


1. Blue glam/alien/wtf look - This turned out better than I expected. I pretty much just dabbed on blue everywhere and hoped that it'd look ok. Usually blue and I don't play so well together, thanks to my very shallow blue-green veins, which blue clothes tend to bring out... hurray for blush, which helps me avoid the zombie look:


2. Purple/gold - this is the look I tried to recreate for a recent FOTD. I'm a big fan of this colour combo, it seems to work really well with my skin and eyes.

  1. lol I like the alien/wtf look! I can't pull off blue though because I have brown eyes too, but I so wish I could! lol

    1. Yeah, frosty blue isn't really for me I guess... maybe smokey blue? I have an awful lot of blues that I should use up!

  2. The purple/gold is gorgeous on you! I might give that a shot myself, although I'm so pale purple usually makes me look deceased, but it's just so regal and pretty!

    1. Maybe try different purples? There are a wide range of purples available, it's so versatile... like green :)

  3. The blue eyeshadow reminds me of Mimi from the Drew Carey Show lol...well, not as insane as hers though lol. I looove the purple and gold combo on you! Although purple and gold usually mean "Lakers colors" and I try to avoid that myself, or Lakers fanatics EVERYWHERE...:/

    I love the second look. I have brown eyes, too, and have found purples work well with them. :)

    1. I actually find it kind of difficult to not look like I've punched myself in the eye with purple, I definitely need a lot of practice! I covered the bruising up with gold in this one ;)
