Skin Food is a South Korean brand that's common in Asia but I've never seen it in Sydney. My friend bought this for me from Hong Kong.

Red Stone is a bright red glitter in a blood red jelly base. The jelly isn't very thick - it's more like a red marker than a glaze - but this means it's easy to put on thin layers. It dries a bit matte so top coat is needed for shine. This is 3 coats without top coat.

It's similar to China Glaze Ruby Pumps but a few shades darker. Like Ruby Pumps, the glitter has a lot of depth.

The label says the polish contains vitamins and keratin, for nail health I guess.

Skin Food landed in trouble in 2010 when Hong Kong authorities found benzene in their nail polishes, but since this was bought in 2011 I guess this colour wasn't affected.

I love this colour! In the bottle it's as bit boring but on the nail it's beautiful and sophisticated without being boring.
